Community of Practice for Gender Equality in Central and Eastern Europe supports all actions taken to fight for a more friendly academia. In February we joined the #SafeAcademia campaign on Twitter, initialized within the GENDERACTIONplus project.
By doing so, we celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11 February) established in 2015 by the United Nations to recognize women and girls’ critical role in science and technology.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of creating a safe, respectful and inclusive academic environment for all.
