Community of Practice

In the pursuit of academic excellence and societal progress, universities and research institutes around the world are increasingly recognizing the importance of fostering inclusivity and breaking down barriers.

In November, Lithuanian members of our community co-organised a very interesting international conference entitled Gender studies and activism 2022: (Re-/de-/-?) institutionalization in changing realities.

During the November meeting of our Community of Practice, Jan Galkowski from the University of Rzeszow was talking about the educational component of gender equality plans (GEPs) prepared and implemented by Polish higher education institutions (HEIs).

This year’s spring and early summer were a fruitful time for the renewed Community of Practice for Gender Equality in Central and Eastern Europe. Elections for the Steering Committee were held in March.

Our Community of Practice GEinCEE was created already almost three years ago within ACT project funded by Horizon 2020.

In this text I will present the new unit at Jagiellonian University, that is strengthening the struggle for equity and safety at university.
